If you're playing as the Maximals, use Cheetor in Polluted levels and Optimus in other levels.
If you're using the Predacons, use Megatron in Polluted levels and Inferno in other levels.
Make sure to save your game after every episode, or when you die you'll have to replay all of the levels since your last save.
Rockfalls aren't invincible (unless you're in beast mode). Just make sure to get a red weapon power-up before attempting to clear the rockfall.
When learning the game, select a Transformer with a higher energon resistance
It doesn't matter which beast you change into, you're a wimp, defenseless against death rays from above. Find somewhere to hide, and maybe you'll live long enough to play some more.
Holding the fire button down will lock a missile on top of an enemy. And by keeping it held down, you can target up to 5 enemies at once! When you release the button, all the enemies you've locked onto will be fired at.
With the fast characters, watch how fast you move them around the game, like Tarantulas and Inferno. Occasionally, you'll want to 'put the brakes' on in time to stop far enough ahead of a certain object without overshooting it – like the edge of a cliff, for example!

When turning corners, use the "Turn & Strafe" feature to defeat opponents. This works well when you're going after enemies one-on-one – but be careful using it when you encounter more than one opponent!
Sometimes, you can escape a seemingly impossible situation by doing a "sideways roll" – but you won't find a button called "The Sideways Roll". But you can make your character roll sideways by double-tapping the "Strafe" button.
As always, keep your eyes on the map to get an early warning about enemy movement. The red blips on your radar are enemies below you and white blips are enemies in the sky or on the ground, so be prepared. Plus, monitoring the map will help you keep from getting lost.
If you can't shoot through a rock wall or barrier, you need to locate a weapon upgrade. Seemingly impenetrable rockfalls, can be cleared, but you'll need a red weapon power-up to become strong enough to complete the job.
Stay in beast mode when you are not in combat. Rest in beast mode to build up your energon resistance. Don't pick up a power up if you don't need it. Save them for when you are beat.
In the upper levels, don't blindly run into an open area. Inch your way into combat and pick enemies off as you go.
Don't touch the purple rocks, they are made of energon.
